Elestial green chlorite quartz manifests with an abundance of record keepers. Saturated in the language of the sacred, this wild stone exists in the spaces where lightning strike and manifestation quartz overlap.

Alchemizing green chlorite with water clear quartz, green phantoms radiate through glassy luster. This rare, large crystal statement piece is part of a new, and seemingly limited find out of Diamantina in Brazil.

Weighing a pound and a half, there is so much to discover in this extraordinary piece. For as much as unveiled itself for me, there are so very many parts of this wild stone’s spirit still unexplored.

Lighting strike quartz is an extrodinary phenomenon, said to be its own dialect of starbrary quartz language.

Though not exclusive to any part of the world, the Diamantina plateau is known for its exquisite expressions of lightning quartz.

No two ever the same, lightning transforms the DNA of the piece, alchemizes it into something wholly new.

Home to Diamantina, the Serra de Espinhaço mountains are a mystical place where lighting rains down from the sky, orographic storms creating clouds with an elevated electrical charge.

The lightning both heats the quartz and transfers a remarkable amount of energy, amplifying the stone’s piezoelectric capacity to receive, store and transmit information.

This process speaks to the nature, the spirit of the stone in ways we’re still just beginning to understand.

In this wild stone, a distinct, zig zag lightning strike mark runs along one of the faces of the smaller, perpendicular elestial quartz crystal (photo #3).

A large, internal manifestation quartz point can be seen through the strike mark itself, the manifestation stepping forward in the same termination (photo #7).

A “blow out,” the exit point for the extraordinary electrical charge as it exited the piece can be seen at the termination of the larger, main crystal.

A dominant, hexagonal key portal manifests on the side of the piece. Keys are recognized as portals, and in this piece it resonates with the intention of the distinction both in shape and form.

The key itself becomes a gate, leading us towards the bottom of the piece where dissolution quartz lined caves reveal the inner landscape of this wild stone.

Sacred etchings and star marks surrround the key, dance around the entirety of this large crystal being.

Errant lightning strike marks can be seen woven throughout these underground cave formations. It is my belief that the landscape of the piece was transformed by the lightning, itself.

Expansion and contraction creating seismic shifts in the spirit of the piece. Like us, redefined by the moments which shape who we are and our own becoming.

This master crystal is saturated in one of the most extraordinary expressions of record keepers I’ve seen. So often elusive, these sacred marks are not subtle.

Like the whole of the piece, they step forward with intention.

As of now, this is one of a very few pieces I have from what thus far seems to be a small, singular find. Diamantina is an alchemist, known to call forward a species unlike anything we’ve seen.

I’ve always felt such a calling towards these unveilings. An invitation to take notice.

There is so much of this stone left to discover, and not enough words for me to describe the whole of what has come forward for me.

This very large crystal is both infinite and tangible. It will hold space, and even with its size, it still asks to be held.

The electrical charge of the lightning leaves a shadow of its path, creating unique, zig-zag etching on the surface of the stone.

The Serra de Espinhaço mountains in Minas Gerais are known for orographic thunderstorms.

Abundant lightning charges the air, the charge reaching temperatures of “30,000°C in nanoseconds,” five times hotter than the surface of the sun.

The lightning strikes the mountain tops, penetrating the rocks which house these growing Quartz crystals.

These extraordinary rare stones are exposed to a remarkable amount of energy in a very short period of time.

Because of the piezoelectric nature of Quartz, the electricity generated causes the Quartz to rapidly expand or contract, depending on whether the strike is negatively or positively charged.
