Some of the most exquisite, electric blue apatite is unearthed in Bahia, Brazil. Completely wild, untreated apatite’s bold blue hues create a striking contrast against the fiery orange calcite.

Three large, geometrical apatite crystal inclusions wrap around this exceptional crystal sphere like fingers, shimmering flash createing a tangible sense of movement.

Blue apatite calcite alchemizes fire and air. Green apatite invites in both water and earth, and quartz holds space for the whole. Resonating with the sacred crossroads, this piece an extraordinary expression of nature where all of the elements overlap.

This gem apatite is an expression of blue fluorapatite. A phosphate mineral, apatite’s foundation is built of the same matter which creates bone.

The alchemy of this stone is often marketed as blue apatite sunstone, though as I understand it these two remarkable crystal beings do not naturally occur together.

The silvery flash brought forward by the blue apatite often moves across the surface of the orange calcite, which can at times seem to mirror sunstone’s golden shimmer.

I have seen expressions of arusha sunstone coexisting with blue apatite and purple lepidolite. Unreplicated in nature, these crystal spheres are man made conglomerates of natural stone.
