Wild + rare, naica selenite is considered the highest vibrational expression of gypsum. From the sacred Naica mine, this stone presents itself unlike any selenite I’ve encountered, with fully internal manifestation crystals and abundance of extrodinarily rare raised record keepers.

This wild stone embodies the light, reverberating through water clear selenite with radiant, etched selenite striations.

On the back of the piece, along side the slight matrix, raised record keeper markings manifest over and over, layers of these ancient inclusions calling themselves forward (see photo #2).

This is the first and only time I have ever encountered record keepers on selenite. Selenites cellular structure differs from quartz.

I cannot explain their presence. I can only share that their presence feels like the most tangible expression of magic I’ve experienced in some time.

Small selenite manifestations have grown fully inside of the piece, transforming the internal landscape into a manifestation stone garden.

Naica selenite embodies light energy. The inner child terminations, the spaces where these parts of self overlap, capture the light and illuminate the piece from the inside out.

Transforming the invisible to visible.

Water has memory, and this piece hums with the energetic resonance of ancient glaciers and their lessons of transformation.

With a slight natural clay matrix, this raw selenite vibrational crystal being is woven together with the molecular DNA of ancient water and sacred earth.

Mexico’s Naica mine is home to the Cave of Crystals, a geological wonder which dissolves words into breath and awe. It feels impossible to be anywhere but “now” when bearing witness to such sacred space.

Discovered in 2000, nearly 1000ft underground, this crystal cave is a sensory experience. Some of the largest natural crystals ever discovered, gypsum var selenite the size of telephone poles reach from floor to ceiling.

This cave was not well suited to sustaining human life. Today, these caves are again completely underwater, the sacred stones returning to the habitat in which they formed.

Its said this space wasn’t meant for us, though this doesn’t feel like the whole truth. I’m not sure nature gifts anything accidentally. I’m not sure we would have ever entered this infinite void of mystery without permission.

We unearthed a finite number of pieces, released from this sacred space with love and intention. I believe these pieces came forward with messages of love and light.

Naica selenite crystal specimens are becoming increasingly rare.

Natural lighting is only ever used. While additional sources of light may reveal intricacies which my lens simply cannot translate, this has never felt like a fair trade for misrepresenting the stone, no matter how un-intentionally.

I spent hours with this piece and my camera, asking the stone what it was willing to reveal. And I’ll share what it shared with me. “Some things are only ever knowable in hand.”

Selenite is said to contain the liquid light which exists between light and matter, the divine light of spirit which dwells in the liminal space, where everything is potential.

Selenite is connected to our crown chakra, associated with consciousness, and is deeply resonant with our etheric energy centers.

Naisha Ahsian calls selenite the “key” which unlocks the portal to the “chakras of spirit,” gateways of connection to higher consciousness.

By unlocking this doorway, selenite creates space for an integration of our higher and physical self’s, creates space to ground our light body here in the present, supporting us to move through the world in greater alignment - body, soul, spirit.

Selenite is a stone of the highest good. An ancient stone, selenite is said to be vital to this moment, presenting in the here and now to support the vibration of the collective as we continue to step forward into this new world.

I have experienced manifestation as both an exercise in trust and an act of surrender.

It’s been said that when we connect with a record keeper, that this isn’t our first meeting…that in a previous manifestation of existence we imprinted these stones, marking them, creating a path for us to find our way back to them in this lifetime.
