From Thunder Bay, this auralite 23 root crystal is a master record keeper. Phantom amethyst manifests with a glassy red cap, elestial quartz formations and an abundance of raised record keepers on every face.

These sacred stones have a singular locale. Known as the Cave of Wonders, the Aurora Mine is nestled deep in the Boreal Forest in Canada.

The remoteness of this sacred region means that these exceptional specimens are hand mined, tended to with reverence and respect for the pieces and for the land itself.

Minor imperfections in the terminations and self healing is possible and probable. In this moment, this probability becomes part of the magic of this piece.

Everything about this natural crystal wand is exceptional.

Standing 5 inches tall, the tip of the termination is nearly as pristine as the root, the termination manifesting with one minor self healed imperfection.

I rarely see such clean lines in a specimen this size.

The root is naturally shaped by geometric imprints, the language of the stone scrolled in ancient etchings and glyph like markings.

Layers of amethyst radiate in regal shades of grape purple and rich violet hues, a large amethyst phantom shining through the termination.

The metallic inclusions create a striking shimmer while vibrant rainbows call in the energy of the full spectrum of prismatic light.

This ancient, sacred stone is estimated to be over a billion years old, formed during a time when meteors rained down from the sky, in the spaces where earth and stardust overlap.

Root crystals are considered double terminated, the entirety of the crystal presenting itself, a potent conduit which completes the energetic circuit of “both,” reaching both above and below.

Estimated to be 1.2 billion years old, Auralite 23 is considered the world’s oldest gemstone.

Formed deep underground during the Meso-Proterozoic era, Auralite is deeply resonate with the energetic history of the earth.

Discovered in the “Cave of Wonders,” deep within the Boreal Forest in Canada, north of Thunder Bay, Auralite is said to typically contain inclusions of at least 17 of 23 additional vibrational elements of earth (see note at the end of post for a list of minerals).

Given the unique formation of these pieces, Auralite is believed to carry the energetic patterning of all 23 of their known inclusions.

Auralite fosters our sense of “being in the presence of the sacred.”

Supporting our relationship to the “I am,” which exists beyond our outward and often singular expression of “I,” Auralite expands our capacity to deepen our relationship to the higher self.
