This large crystal sphere presents in vibrant Purple Chalcedony with fiery red Carnelian and inclusions of banded and dendritic agate. This potent pairing sings of alchemy and magic.

Purple Chalcedony resonates with the energy of the violet flame, supporting our third eye and crown chakras, and Carnelian resonates with our lower energy centers.

This piece feels like starlight at dusk, the skyline on fire. White agate under the translucent purple chalcedony feels otherworldly, flames of carnelian invoking the element of passion.

With tangible polarity, half of this sphere radiates with white agate, the yin to the yang of the bold chalcedony inclusions.

Both manifestations of Chalcedony, there is a polarity and a sameness, the alchemy of these stones supporting a sort of energetic loop between the physical and higher versions of self.

The Sumatra region of Indonesia is home to some of my favorite Chalecedony. These spheres were crafted and hand polished by a small family lapidary in Indonesia who strive to honor the integrity of the stone.

Naturally occurring inclusions are present and intentional.

Purple Chalcedony is considered a stone of pure violet flame energy, resonating with the energies of the “magic presence” - an embodied connection between our physical, every day identity and our higher self’s.

The violet ray is considered a frequency which resonates with both energetic protection and expansion of consciousness. Purple Chalcedony brings the subconscious forward, supporting our ability to tune into our intuitive self’s from a place of clarity and connection.

Purple Chalcedony supports energetic discernment. While I don’t experience energy as “good” or “bad,” there is absolutely energy which is beneficial and not beneficial, and the physical experience of non-beneficial energy can create feelings of uncomfortableness and unease.

That unease is information, and this stone supports our capacity to discern what is for us and not for us; what may have been for us and no longer is. As we bring awareness to our environment and our bodies, we begin to open that innate inner wisdom which has always been ours.

Purple Chalcedony resonates with both the third eye and crown chakras, and is often used to support accessing the subconscious and higher consciousness while remaining centered in the body; creating space for us to receive information and integrate it into the present by supporting a felt sense of energetic safety.

Carnelian calls in the energy of fire and supports our lower energy centers, the foundation for our physical experience.

Naisha Ahsian said that Carnelian encourages us to “stop waiting for one’s dreams to appear and instead begin to direct one’s own experiences as channels for divine will,” which very closely mirrors my own personal experiences with this stone.

Carnelian and Purple Chalcedony feel like such intentional allies. Where Purple Chalcedony invites us to attune our spiritual experience with our physical experience, Carnelian supports the container by directing energy which stabilizes our foundation.

Our energetic systems are in constant communication with our environment, and we cannot change what we do not understand.

Particularly in traditionally western cultures, bringing awareness to and tending our energetic bodies as part of caring for the whole self hasn’t been prioritized or integrated into our understanding of health and caring for the self.

It has been extraordinary to witness so many of us step out of what we’ve historically been taught, and back into a more instinctual, intuitive understanding of what it means to be in a body, and what it means to be a part of the whole.

Self care is an act of radical love of the self and the collective. Tending our self creates space for us to tend to each other.

Crystal spheres are powerful tools in their own right, radiating energy in all directions. The circle is a foundational part of sacred geometry, the blueprint of creation, and represents the cyclical nature reflected in all things.
