Marcasite was confused for many years with Pyrite. Though the chemical composition is the same, Marcasite forms in a completely different crystalline structure and has a brassier, more “matted” luster than Pyrite.
Energetically, these two stones vary as well. While both are associated with the lower chakras, Pyrite is often associated with stepping into our personal power, and Marcasite is strongly rooted in earth medicine and wants to support us in staying connected into the present moment.
Marcasite is associated with our root chakra. The first chakra in our energetic system, our root governs our basest, primal needs. When our root is open and balanced, we’re supported in feelings of safety and security. When we lean into Mama Earth, we find comfort in knowing that all of our basic needs will be met.
The earth provides shelter, food, water, and when we truly connect in, she openly welcomes us to release any negative or unwanted energy, which she will recycle into something new and beneficial. Working with earth medicine reminds us that Mama Earth is, and always has been here to support us. All she asks of us is reciprocity - to nurture and tend to her as she does for us.
When we’re grounded into the energy of the earth, we’re supported to see “outside of ourselves.” When we feel safe, when our “needs” are met, we’re better able to step out of our minds - our ego self’s - and to step back into our bodies - connecting into to our truth, and the truth of all that is.
Mama Earth is patient, and so is the energy of Marcasite. Working with Marcasite encourages us to slow down, supporting feelings of clarity and granting us the gift of insight. When we’re able to quiet the “noise,” we’re supported to tune into our inner landscape with greater ease. This quieting creates space for us to tap into our intuition more clearly, accessing our innate, inner wisdom, and to move forward in alignment with our highest purpose.
Agate is a form of Chalcedony, both members of the Quartz family. Agates are also considered powerful grounding stones while also known for supporting the Crown Chakra.
Agate encourages balancing of the mind/body/spirit. This stone is said to bring stability to our aura’s by dispelling and transforming negative energy. By supporting the Crown Chakra, Agate promotes clarity of mind, soothes our systems, and creates space for us to deepen our connection with our highest self’s, the divine, all that is.
Marcasite and Agate is a powerful combination. By supporting our root and our crown, we’re able to deepen our relationship with our highest levels of consciousness while also remaining grounded in the reality of this moment, right here. As above, so below.

All mailers, peanuts, pouches (ritual salt), and plastic sleeves are biodegradable. Crinkle paper is recycled and recyclable or compostable, along with the boxes and any printed materials.
We strive to only partner with vendors who use sustainable packaging, but we will repurpose anything unsustainable if received. If unsure how to dispose of any materials, please reach out - we’re happy to advise! In gratitude ☀️

We strive to use only organic, non-GMO, fair trade, sustainable products & we source locally as much as possible. All product information, including details regarding packaging, will always be noted clearly in the listing.
There are certain plants that will never be used in the creation of our products. The sustainability of the products we offer and the ingredients we use matters to us. We do not use any ingredients derived from plants that are considered endangered. We utilize plant medicines that have been used in healing for centuries, while respecting the plants themselves and honoring cultural traditions by working only with plants that have been a part of our ancestral traditions.
Return Policy
Our intention is always that the piece you receive be the piece that you need, and that it comes to you precisely when you need it, but we also understand that the only way to be sure of this is to hold the piece in your hands.
If your piece does not speak to you for any reason we will happily allow you to return or exchange it within 30 days of purchase. If an issue arises outside of this timeframe please still reach out so we can discuss how to move forward - your happiness truly is important to us.
We carry insurance on all shipped packages, and we take great care to ensure that all pieces are well protected during shipping. If a piece arrives damaged in any way, please let us know right away so we can make this right.

Unfortunately mining crystals is not regulated in most places, which makes ensuring stones are sourced ethically quite difficult at times.
We believe wholeheartedly that these stones have the power to foster great healing, and it is with love and reverence for Mother Earth, each other, and all things that we offer these products.
We work hard to do our due-diligence. We ask questions about the origin of the pieces, and do not purchase from mines/areas that are known for having unfair practices.
Sometimes we are at the mercy of the vendor regarding this information. See our FAQ, “Ethical Stone Information - Part II” for details regarding the steps we take before we’re comfortable listing these offerings.
Ethical Commitment - Part II
Certain areas/mines have no regulations in place to protect the environment, ensure staff is age appropriate, receives fair pay, treatment & benefits & has adequate PPE. We will not purchase from these locations & we work hard to determine each piece’s origin.
When not possible, we must rely on our vendors. We’ve invested time, money & effort into building relationships & trust. We also always trust our gut - If we’re not comfortable, we will not purchase. We continue to educate ourselves & on the rare occasion we learn later that a piece was mined unethically, we will pull it.
Though ethically sourced often = higher cost, we believe strongly in these values. We strive to offer pieces accessible to all, with great love & deep gratitude.
Why is Everything Priced as a Whole Number?
There is a short and a less than short answer here.
Short answer - I’ve never been able to get behind the whole psychology of “charging $9.99 will look like a better deal than $10 & will increase your sales.” This feels almost dishonest for me, personally, & it’s not a practice I am comfortable with simply for the sake of it.
The less than short answer is that I have always loved whole numbers, particularly the number 0. “0” is often referred to as the void & is considered the space of nothingness. While this isn’t untrue, from nothingness comes the infinite possibility of everything. The void is the beginning of creation, the sacred pause. The end & the beginning.
The number “0” has always felt like magic in tangible form to me.
